eBusiness is all the information, interaction and transactions over the internet between Sandvik Materials Technology Nafta and our valued business partners – our customers! The purpose of our eBusiness strategy is to enhance the overall value of our partnership with our customers through knowledge-sharing and through increased efficiencies gained by doing business together electronically! Our eCommerce capabilities are ever-increasing and today it includes all the commercial transactions such as placing orders, order status, stock search & availability, material certificates and material chemical analysis. Extranets can be established to enable the sharing of specific business knowledge to further enhance the value of our partnership with our customers. Sandvik Materials Technology Nafta is also very “EDI friendly”. We can transact business using almost any EDI standard or any EDI transaction type.

NAFTA E-Commerce

This application gives access to certain parts of our Stock and Order Service system. The information available is what has been agreed upon between your company and Sandvik Materials Technology NAFTA and is confidential between us. If you have any comments or problems please discuss these with your normal business partner
at Sandvik.

Our eCommerce capabilities include Order Entry, and real-time information related to your Order Status, Product Stock Search and Availability, Material Certificates and Material Chemical Analysis. We can also notify you via email when certain events occur such as when your order has been acknowledged and/or shipped. Doing eCommerce requires that you are an established customer and have been assigned a user id and password. Extranet
Our Extranets are designed specifically to enhance the value of our relationship with a particular business partner/customer. Each Extranet can provide unique information relevant to that partnership. Knowledge is shared via the Extranet exclusively between Sandvik Materials Technology Nafta and a particular business partner/customer. For example, joint work on a large project, sharing project status information together via a secured Extranet connection. Having an Extranet requires that you are an established customer and have been assigned a user id and password. EDI
Our EDI capabilities are almost “limitless”! We encourage EDI because it is a way to “seamlessly” transact business with our customers “computer to computer” in a secure way through a VAN “Valued Added Network”. We can do ANSI-X12 or EDIFACT. We can transact almost any EDI transaction. Some examples, include Purchase Orders, Purchase Order Acknowledgements, Invoices, Inventory Information, Advanced Ship notices and Material Tests, Request for Quote and Response to Quote. Doing EDI with Sandvik Materials Technology Nafta requires that you are an established customer.
