Our designers knew we would have to go beyond industry standards to accommodate General Safety's needs. Adding a loop as a secondary operation - as our competitors still do - meant an extra cost to the customer. The solution was to do what had never been done before in this type of spring. By miniaturizing our tooling, we produced a custom-engineered die that cuts and forms the inner-end loop directly on to the spring in one step. Our manufacturing flexibility and specialized tooling capabilities allowed us to improve the product without requiring a secondary operation. Today, we are the only company that provides this special service to the automotive industry. |
